Film Format - Technical Requirements

*Any standard video editor programs can be used such as iMovie (Mac,Free), Adobe Premier Rush (PC,Free), Adobe Premier Pro (Free at most libraries).

The filetype required is MP4 (This will result in a much smaller filesize vs a .mov, .avi etc.) Here is good blog on how to export to mp4 if you are having problems.

Films must be in landscape mode 16:9 with a resolution of 1920x1080p (preferred) or 1280x720p.

All films must be 60 seconds or less (but no less than 50 seconds) including the end slate.

  • All films must be submitted using FilmFreeway.com

    Note: FilmFreeway accepts full quality HD videos up to 10 GB. When your submission is accepted we will send you a download request, which you may then authorize or deny, to download your full quality video for screening.
